Lekhapani Sports Club is a football (soccer) club based in Lekhapani, Jhapa District, Nepal. The club was founded in 1967 and is one of the oldest and most successful clubs in Nepal.
Lekhapani SC has won the Nepal National League a record 10 times, the most recent being in 2018. The club has also won the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League 6 times, the last being in 2019.
Lekhapani SC has also been successful in cup competitions, winning the Birendra Memorial Gold Cup 3 times and the President's Cup 2 times.
History
Lekhapani SC was founded in 1967 by a group of young people in Lekhapani. The club's first president was Gopal Prasad Giri.
Lekhapani SC quickly became one of the most successful clubs in Nepal, winning the Nepal National League for the first time in 1972. The club went on to win the league a further 9 times.
Lekhapani SC also won the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League 6 times, the last being in 2019.
Recent seasons
Lekhapani SC has been less successful in recent seasons, finishing outside the top 4 in the Nepal National League in each of the last 3 seasons.
However, the club did reach the final of the Birendra Memorial Gold Cup in 2022, losing to Manang Marshyangdi Club.
