KLR FC is a football (soccer) team based in Alor Star, Malaysia. The club was founded in 1960 and currently competes in the Malaysia Premier League, the second tier of Malaysian football.

The club's home ground is the KLR Stadium in Alor Star. The stadium has a capacity of 10,000 spectators.

History

KLR FC was founded in 1960 by a group of local businessmen. The club's first major success came in 1976, when they won the Malaysia Cup. They have also won the Malaysia FA Cup on two occasions, in 1989 and 2002.

The club's most successful period was in the 1980s, when they won the Malaysia Cup three times and the Malaysia FA Cup once. They also finished runners-up in the Malaysia League on two occasions.

KLR FC have struggled in recent years, and they have been relegated from the Malaysia Super League on two occasions. However, the club is currently rebuilding and they are hoping to return to the top flight of Malaysian football soon.
