The team was founded in 2008 by a group of parents who wanted to give their children the opportunity to play football in a competitive environment. The team has since grown to become one of the largest and most successful youth football teams in Herefordshire.
In 2019, Kington Town U12's won the Herefordshire Junior Football League Cup. They have also reached the final of the Herefordshire Junior Football League Cup on two other occasions.

Kington Town U12's are currently in their 15th season. They are currently competing in the Herefordshire Junior Football League Premier Division.
