KCU United is a Ugandan football (soccer) club based in Kampala Central Division. The club was founded in 1968 and currently competes in the FUFA Big League, the second tier of Ugandan football.
History
KCU United was founded in 1968 by a group of students from Kampala College of Commerce (KCU). The club's first home ground was the KCU sports ground in Kampala.
KCU United won their first major trophy in 1972, when they won the Uganda Cup. They have since won the Uganda Cup a further two times, in 1975 and 1980.
KCU United have also competed in the CAF Cup Winners' Cup on three occasions, reaching the second round in 1973 and 1975.
Recent seasons
KCU United have been playing in the FUFA Big League since 2016. They finished in third place in the 2018/19 season, which was their best finish in the league to date.
KCU United are currently managed by Abdallah Mubiru. The club's home ground is the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala.
