Iqra FC is a football team based in Leicester, England. They are currently members of the Leicestershire County Football League Premier Division.
History
Iqra FC was founded in 2008 by a group of local Muslims who wanted to create a football team that would promote community cohesion and provide opportunities for young people to play football.
The team has since grown to become one of the most successful Muslim-majority football clubs in the UK. They have won the Leicestershire County Football League Premier Division twice, in 2017-18 and 2019-20.
Iqra FC also has a thriving youth team, which has produced a number of talented players who have gone on to play for professional clubs.
