Invergordon FC

Invergordon FC are a senior football club from Invergordon in the Scottish Highlands. They compete in the North Caledonian Football League and play at the Recreation Grounds.

History

The exact year the club was formed is unknown, but the first mentions of an Invergordon Football Club are made in local newspapers around 1870. Invergordon were founder members of the Ross-shire Junior FA in 1894 and first competed for silverware for the Ross-shire Junior Cup in 1895. They remained regular competitors in the Ross-shire Junior ranks either side of the First World War.

Invergordon FC results

In 1922, Invergordon joined the Highland League, but they were relegated back to the Ross-shire Junior League in 1925. They remained in the Junior League until 1975, when they were promoted to the North Caledonian League.

Invergordon have won the North Caledonian League championship four times, in 1980, 1981, 1982, and 2022. They have also won the North Caledonian Cup three times, in 1981, 1982, and 2022.

Invergordon finished second in the North Caledonian League in 2021-22, their highest finish since 1982. They also reached the final of the North Caledonian Cup, but lost to Brora Rangers.

The club's current manager is Ross Munro.
