HVK Football Club is a Colombian professional football club based in Bogotá. The club was founded in 1985 and currently competes in the Categoría Primera A, the top tier of Colombian football.
History
HVK was founded in 1985 by a group of students from the Universidad de los Andes. The club quickly rose through the lower divisions of Colombian football, and in 2000 they were promoted to the Categoría Primera A for the first time.
HVK have spent the majority of their time in the Categoría Primera A in the mid-table. However, they have had some success in recent years, reaching the Copa Colombia final in 2016 and the Copa Sudamericana final in 2018.
Stadium
HVK's home stadium is the Estadio El Campín, which is also the home stadium of Millonarios and Santa Fe. The stadium has a capacity of 36,000.
