Harmony Row Youth Club
Was formed in 1915 in the Govan area of Glasgow providing football and netball facilities to children who lived in the Govan and surrounding areas. We now run numerous football teams from fun 4s to Amateur level providing facilities and opportunities for around 800 children and Adults. All the adults are volunteers who offer their time and experience free of charge. All our coaches undergo SFA and 1st aid qualifications and are subjected to Enhanced Scotland Disclosure checks. Harmony Row is accredited by the SFA Quality Mark Scheme.
Our most famous past player is Sir Alex Ferguson who at the age of 10 began his footballing career with Harmony Row. Sir Alex is now an Honorary Member and Patron of the Club. Sir Alex still takes an active interest in the club and formerly opened our current facilities at Braehead which is named in his honour.
We are a registered charity and rely on the generosity of parents and businesses to raise funds in order to keep the club afloat and allow us to provide much needed facilities and opportunities to the local community. Our aim is to provide healthy sporting activities; to boost self esteem; team spirit and enjoyment in an atmosphere free from aggression and discrimination
