Hardy FC is a football team based in Newmarket, Suffolk, England. They were founded in 1920 and currently play in the Champion's Shield, the top tier of non-league football in Suffolk.
History
Hardy FC have a long and successful history, having won the Champion's Shield on 12 occasions. They have also won the Suffolk Senior Cup on 10 occasions and the Suffolk Premier Cup on 4 occasions.
The club's most successful period was in the 1970s, when they won the Champion's Shield four times in a row. They also reached the final of the FA Vase in 1977, losing to North Shields.
Hardy FC have also had a number of players who have gone on to play professional football. These include David Beckham, who played for the club as a youth player, and Darren Bent, who played for the club in the 1990s.
