History
Hanley Town FC was founded in 1884 and has played in a variety of leagues throughout its history. They were members of the Midland Football League from 1900 to 1907, and again from 1921 to 1977. They have also been members of the Northern Premier League, the Southern League, and the West Midlands (Regional) League.
The club's most successful period came in the 1970s, when they won the Midland League championship in 1974 and 1975. They also reached the final of the FA Trophy in 1975, losing to Enfield.
