Hangleton Athletic Football Club is a Saturday football team based in Hangleton, Brighton, England. The team was founded in 1962 by boys from the Nevill County Secondary School. They currently play in the Brighton Worthing District Football League West League.

History

Hangleton Athletic FC was founded in 1962 by boys from the Nevill County Secondary School. The team played in the Sussex Sunday League Division 3 for their first season, and were successful in winning the division. They also reached the final of the Sussex Sunday Cup that year, losing to Piddinghoe.

The team continued to play in the Sussex Sunday League for many years, and in 1983 they were promoted to the Premier Division. They remained in the Premier Division for several years, but eventually dropped back down to the lower divisions.

In 2010, Hangleton Athletic FC joined the Brighton Worthing District Football League. They currently play in the West League, and have been very successful in recent years. In 2019, they won the league title and were promoted to the Premier Division.
