History
Halton Rangers were founded in 1946 by a group of local villagers. The club initially played in the Lancaster and District League, before moving to the North Lancashire Football League in 1974.
The club's most successful period came in the 1980s, when they won the North Lancashire Football League title three times and the North Lancashire Challenge Cup twice.
Halton Rangers have also competed in the FA Vase on several occasions, reaching the third round in 1982.
