Group 2 is a football team based in Uyo, Nigeria. The team was founded in 2000 and currently competes in the Nigeria National League, the second tier of Nigerian football.
History
Group 2 was founded in 2000 by a group of businessmen and football enthusiasts in Uyo. The team quickly rose through the ranks of Nigerian football, winning promotion to the Nigeria Premier League in 2005. Group 2 spent four seasons in the Premier League, before being relegated in 2009. The team has since been competing in the Nigeria National League.
