History
Golden Goal FC was founded in 2010 by a group of football enthusiasts in Uyo. The team's first season was in the Akwa Ibom State League, which they won. The following season, the team was promoted to the Nigeria National League.
The team has never won the Nigeria National League, but they have finished as runners-up on two occasions. In 2019, the team reached the final of the Nigeria National League playoff, but they lost to Remo Stars.
