The club was formed in 2015 with John King, Harrison Ward and Stuart Tryhorn founding the club. The plan was to get the team entered into a league for the 2015/16 season but due to unforeseen circumstances this was not the case.

The team train at Basildon Sporting Village, with plans to play at The Post Office Club.

The club was formed in 2015 by John King, Harrison Ward and Stuart Tryhorn. They originally planned to enter the league for the 2015/16 season, but due to unforeseen circumstances this was not the case. The team finally made their debut in the 2016/17 season and have been playing in the league ever since.

The club's nickname is "The Dragons". This is a reference to the former Sky One TV show Dream Team, in which the fictional team Harchester United was nicknamed "The Dragons".
