Ferencvárosi Torna Club (FTC), commonly known as Ferencváros (Hungarian: ['f?r?nt?sva?ro?]), Fradi, FTC or Kinizsi, is a professional football club based in Ferencváros, Budapest, Hungary, that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the top flight of Hungarian football.

History

Ferencváros was founded in 1899 by Ferenc Springer and a group of local residents of Budapest's ninth district, Ferencváros. The club's first home ground was the Hungária körút, but they moved to the Ülloi úti stadion in 1911.

Ferencváros have won the Hungarian league 34 times, more than any other club. They have also won the Hungarian Cup 24 times and the Hungarian Super Cup 1 time.

The club's most successful period was in the 1960s, when they won the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1965 and reached the semi-finals of the European Cup in 1968.

Recent seasons

Ferencváros have been the dominant force in Hungarian football in recent years. They have won the league title in each of the last 5 seasons, as well as the Hungarian Cup in 2021 and 2022.

The club are currently competing in the 2023–24 UEFA Europa Conference League. They have already qualified for the playoff round, where they will face FK Žalgiris of Lithuania.
