History
FC Makina was founded in 1980 by a group of young men from Nairobi Dam. The team's first chairman was Joseph Mwaura.
The team's early years were spent in the lower leagues of Kenyan football. However, in the early 2000s, the team began to achieve success. In 2003, the team won promotion to the Kenyan Premier League for the first time.
The team's stay in the top flight was short-lived, as they were relegated back to the lower leagues in 2004. However, the team bounced back and returned to the Premier League in 2007.
The team has remained in the Premier League ever since. They have never won the league title, but they have finished as runners-up on two occasions.
Recent seasons
FC Makina finished the 2021-22 season in 12th place in the Kenya National Super League. The team's top scorer was Vincent Omondi, who scored 10 goals in the league.
