About Exstudiantes
Exstudiantes is a football (soccer) team based in Utrecht, Netherlands. It was founded in 1987 by a group of Argentinean students who were studying in the city. The team currently plays in the 5th tier of Dutch football, the Tweede Klasse.
Exstudiantes is known for its passionate supporters, who are known as the "La Barra." The team's home ground is the Sportpark De Vecht, which has a capacity of 1,000 spectators.
History
Exstudiantes was founded in 1987 by a group of Argentinean students who were studying in Utrecht. The team's first season was in the 7th tier of Dutch football, the Vierde Klasse. In 1992, Exstudiantes was promoted to the 6th tier, the Derde Klasse.
The team continued to climb the divisions, and in 2007, Exstudiantes was promoted to the 5th tier, the Tweede Klasse. The team has remained in the Tweede Klasse ever since.
