The team is named after Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. Their home ground is at the Everest FC Sports Ground in Ecclesall.
History
Everest FC were founded in 2020 by a group of friends who wanted to create a football team that was inclusive and welcoming to everyone. The team quickly grew in popularity and now has over 20 players.
In their first season, Everest FC finished in third place in the Sheffield & District Sunday League. They have also competed in the Sheffield FA Sunday Cup, reaching the semi-finals in 2022.
Current Season
Everest FC are currently in their third season in the Sheffield & District Sunday League. They are currently in second place in the table, just one point behind the leaders.
The team has also qualified for the Sheffield FA Sunday Cup again this season. They will play their first match in the competition in October 2023.
