Estudiantes London currently plays in the Northern Ireland Intermediate League, the third tier of Northern Irish football. The team has never won a major trophy, but they have been runners-up in the Intermediate League on two occasions, in 2007 and 2010.
History
Estudiantes London was founded in 1961 by a group of Spanish students who were studying in the city. The team was originally called "Estudiantes Españoles de Londres", but the name was changed to "Estudiantes London" in the early 1970s.
The team played in the Derry and District League for their first few years, before moving to the Intermediate League in 1971. Estudiantes London has been a regular in the Intermediate League ever since, and they have finished in the top half of the table on several occasions.
The team's best season came in 2007, when they finished as runners-up in the Intermediate League. They also reached the semi-finals of the Intermediate League Cup that season.
Estudiantes London has never won a major trophy, but they are one of the most successful teams in the Intermediate League. They have also had a number of players who have gone on to play professional football, including Chris Baird and Mark Stewart.
