Elsecar Main Football Club is a semi-professional football club based in Elsecar, South Yorkshire, England. The club was founded in 1905 and currently plays in the Northern Counties East League Division One.
History
Elsecar Main was originally formed as a works team for Elsecar Main Colliery. The club joined the Sheffield & District League in 1906 and remained in the league until 1977, when they were promoted to the Central Midlands League.
Elsecar Main won the Central Midlands League in 1982 and were promoted to the Northern Counties East League. The club has remained in the Northern Counties East League ever since, and have reached the playoffs on several occasions.
Stadium
Elsecar Main play their home games at Elsecar Main Sports Complex. The stadium has a capacity of 2,000.
