The DUbs football (soccer) team is a student-run club at the American Business School (ABS) in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The team was founded in 2010 and currently competes in the ABS Inter-Club League.
History
The DUbs football team was founded in 2010 by a group of students who wanted to create a competitive soccer team at ABS. The team quickly became one of the most successful clubs in the ABS Inter-Club League, winning the championship in 2012, 2014, and 2016.
The team has also competed in several international tournaments, including the Amsterdam Cup and the Rotterdam Cup. In 2018, the DUbs team won the Amsterdam Cup, defeating the University of Amsterdam in the final.
Current Team
The current DUbs football team is made up of students from all over the world. The team is coached by former professional soccer player, Richard Levene.
The team's current captain is David Jones, a midfielder from the United Kingdom. Jones has been with the team since 2015 and has been a key player in the team's success.
Future Plans
The DUbs football team plans to continue competing in the ABS Inter-Club League and other international tournaments. The team also plans to expand its membership and reach out to more students at ABS.
The team is also looking to develop a youth program to introduce soccer to younger students at ABS.
