The team was founded in 2023 by Darren Lee, a UEFA B-licensed coach. Darren has over 20 years of experience coaching youth football, and he is passionate about providing players with a fun and challenging environment to learn and develop their skills.

The DLFC U8 (Sun) Yel team currently has 12 players. The players are all between the ages of 7 and 8 years old. The team trains twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They also play matches on Sundays.
