More about the team
Formed in 1985 after a chance remark made in the club lounge at Rotherham United, Dave Crown (DC) Steamers are now an established presence in the Reading local football scene. Our founders were all firm Reading fans and the team was named after a favourite of ours - Dave Crown (Reading FC winger at the time).
DC Steamers has come a long way since its first game in 1985 and we are now in East Division 1 after a successful campaign saw us get promoted in the 2012/13 season. We also won the Ted Cambridgeshire Cup and look to build on our first real successful season.
At the end of the 2011/12 season DCS looked to have played their last game after a crushing defeat. But a large injection of youth, pace and talent from the Bracknell team NMR Corinthians has meant the team lives on. Since the merge the team has had some success and we look to work our way up the Reading leagues.
