History
The club was founded in 1972 by a group of friends who wanted to play football in the local area. The team initially played in the Derbyshire Amateur League, before moving to the Hope Valley League in 1980. In 2021, the club merged with Winster Football Club to form Winster & Darley Lions FC.
The club has won a number of trophies over the years, including the Hope Valley League Cup in 1983, 1984, and 1987. The club also reached the final of the Derbyshire Senior Cup in 1988.
Current Season
Winster & Darley Lions FC currently play in the Central Midlands Alliance League, which is the ninth tier of English football. The club finished in 11th place in the league last season.
