History
DAM Football Club was founded in 1920 by a group of Egyptian students. The club's name is an acronym for "Damietta Amateurs".
The club's first major success came in 1938, when they won the Egyptian Cup. They have since won the Egyptian Cup a further two times, in 1952 and 1961.
DAM Football Club have also competed in the African Cup of Champions Clubs on three occasions, reaching the semi-finals in 1978.
Recent seasons
DAM Football Club have been a regular in the Egyptian Premier League in recent years. They finished third in the league in 2016-17, their best finish in over 50 years.
The club currently play their home games at the Damietta Stadium, which has a capacity of 10,000.
