Daisy Hill Juniors FC was founded in 1951 by a group of local residents. The team initially played in the Westhoughton League, but moved to the Bolton Combination in 1968. The team won the Bolton Combination Premier Division four times, the Bolton Combination Cup four times, and the Lancashire County FA Amateur Shield twice.
