Cambusdoon Football Club is a community football club based in Alloway, Ayrshire, Scotland. The club was founded in 2012 as Greenan Colts Football Club and changed its name to Cambusdoon Football Club in 2016.
The club currently has a membership of 278 male and 144 female members and competes in the West of Scotland Football League. The club's home ground is Cambusdoon Sports Club in Alloway.
History
Cambusdoon Football Club was founded in 2012 by Ewen Forsyth and Richard Gillespie. The club's first training session was held at Doonfoot Primary School on a Saturday morning in September 2012. The club quickly grew to include around 30 children and moved to Cambusdoon Sports Club in Alloway to accommodate this growth.
In 2016, the club changed its name to Cambusdoon Football Club. The club has continued to grow in recent years and now has a membership of over 420 players.
Accomplishments
- Cambusdoon Football Club won the West of Scotland Football League Division 3 title in 2018-19.
- The club also won the West of Scotland Football League Division 2 title in 2020-21.
