Bellshill United is a grassroots football team based in Belleek, Fermanagh and Omagh, Northern Ireland. The team was founded in 1972 and currently competes in the Fermanagh & Western Football League.
The team's home ground is the Belleek Community Centre, which has a capacity of 500 spectators.
History
Bellshill United was founded in 1972 by a group of local men who wanted to provide a footballing outlet for the community. The team initially competed in the Fermanagh & Western Intermediate League, before moving up to the Premier League in 1982.
The team's most successful period came in the 1990s, when they won the Fermanagh & Western Premier League title on three occasions (1990, 1992, and 1994). They also reached the final of the Irish Junior Cup in 1993, but lost to Lisburn Distillery.
In recent years, the team has struggled to replicate their previous successes. They have finished outside of the top four in the Premier League in each of the last five seasons.
