Barnsley Ladies Football Club
Barnsley Ladies Football Club is an inclusive women's and girls grassroots football club operating on a not-for-profit basis.
The club has a close partnership with Barnsley Football Club and operates junior teams from the under 8 to under 18 age groups, as well as a successful Open Age Ladies team - demonstrating a clear pathway to senior women's football.
The club's mission is to provide a supportive and enjoyable environment for children to develop their footballing skills, as well as promoting the wider benefits of participation, teamwork and physical exercise as life skills.
The club is run by enthusiastic volunteers who are supported to undertake FA training to provide the highest possible levels of quality in their coaching.
Recent Season
The Barnsley Ladies Open Age team finished the 2022-23 season in third place in the Northern Premier League Division One North.
The team reached the semi-finals of the Northern Premier League Cup, where they were beaten by eventual winners Lincoln City.
The team also competed in the FA Women's National League Cup, where they were knocked out in the second round by Sunderland.

- Bethany Ayrton - The club's captain, Ayrton is a versatile midfielder who can also play up front. She has represented England at under-19 level.
