Bandung Raya FC is an Indonesian professional association football club based in Bandung, West Java. The club was founded on 17 June 1987 and played in the Galatama league until 1994, when the Football Association of Indonesia merged the two top-tier leagues (Galatama and Perserikatan) into the Liga Indonesia Premier Division.
Bandung Raya's best performance in the Liga Indonesia Premier Division came in 1995–96, when they finished as runners-up. They also won the 1996–97 Copa Indonesia.
The club was dissolved in 1997 due to financial difficulties, but was re-established in 2010. They currently play in the Liga 3, the third tier of Indonesian football.
History
Bandung Raya was founded in Bandung on 17 June 1987. The club was founded by a group of businessmen and football enthusiasts, including Ari D. Sutedi, who is currently the club's chairman.
Bandung Raya played in the Galatama league until 1994, when the Football Association of Indonesia merged the two top-tier leagues (Galatama and Perserikatan) into the Liga Indonesia Premier Division.
