Bandung Pro United was founded in 2017 by a group of businessmen and football enthusiasts. The club's first season was in the Liga 3, the third-tier of Indonesian football. The club finished the season in third place in their group, but failed to qualify for the promotion playoffs.
In the 2018 season, Bandung Pro United finished the season in first place in their group and qualified for the promotion playoffs. The club defeated PSKC Cimahi in the playoff semifinals, but lost to Persekat Tegal in the playoff final.
In the 2019 season, Bandung Pro United finished the season in second place in their group and qualified for the promotion playoffs. The club defeated Persekat Tegal in the playoff semifinals, but lost to PSMS Medan in the playoff final.
