Azé Football Club is a football club based in Azeva, Luxembourg. The club was founded in 1917 and currently plays in the Luxembourg National Division, the top tier of Luxembourgian football.
Azé has won the Luxembourg National Division four times, in 1957, 1973, 1977, and 1990. The club has also won the Luxembourg Cup three times, in 1969, 1972, and 1977.
History
Azé Football Club was founded in 1917 by a group of local footballers. The club's first home ground was a field in the village of Azé.
In 1921, Azé joined the Luxembourg Football Federation. The club played in the second division for its first few years, before being promoted to the first division in 1930.
Azé won its first Luxembourg National Division title in 1957. The club went on to win the title again in 1973, 1977, and 1990.
Azé has also won the Luxembourg Cup three times, in 1969, 1972, and 1977.
Recent seasons
Azé has been a regular in the Luxembourg National Division in recent years. The club finished third in the league in 2019-20, and qualified for the UEFA Europa League.
Azé also reached the final of the Luxembourg Cup in 2020, but lost to F91 Dudelange.
