History
Ashantr Football Club was founded in 1957 by a group of young men from Nyive. The club quickly became one of the most successful teams in the region, winning the Ghana Division One League in 1962.
The club has also competed in the Ghana FA Cup, reaching the final in 1964.
Recent seasons
Ashantr Football Club has struggled in recent seasons, finishing in the bottom half of the Ghana Division One League in each of the last three seasons.
The club is currently undergoing a rebuilding process, and is hoping to return to its former glory in the near future.
