History
APOLO was founded in 1920 by a group of British expatriates living in Negara. The club's name is derived from the Greek word "Apolo", which is the god of music, poetry, and healing.
APOLO's early years were relatively successful, winning the Negara Premier League in 1922 and 1923. However, the club went through a period of decline in the 1930s and 1940s, and did not win any major trophies until the 1950s.
