History
The club was founded in 1995 as Altrincham Ladies' FC. They changed their name to Altrincham FC Women in 2021.
The club has won the North West Women's Regional League Division One South on two occasions, in 2006-07 and 2018-19.

North West Women's Regional League
The North West Women's Regional League is a regional football league for women's teams in the North West of England. It is the second tier of women's football in the region, below the Women's National League.
The league was founded in 1994 and is currently made up of 18 teams. The season runs from September to April, with each team playing each other twice.
The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to the Women's National League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the North West Women's County League.
