History
AFC Lightning was founded in April 2005 by a group of parents who wanted to provide a fun and safe environment for their children to play football. The club started with just one team, but has since grown to over 20 teams.
In 2010, AFC Lightning became an FA Charter Standard Club. This was a major achievement for the club and it demonstrates the club's commitment to providing high-quality football for its players.
