History
AFC Booth was founded in 2013 by James Leighton. The team competed in their first season in 2013/14, finishing 5th in the league.
In the 2014/15 season, AFC Booth finished 3rd in the league. They also reached the final of the Burnley & District Sunday League Cup, but lost to Crawshawbooth F.C.
The team has continued to improve in recent years and finished 2nd in the league in the 2019/20 season.

The Burnley & District Sunday League is an amateur football league based in Burnley, Lancashire. It was founded in 1922 and currently has over 100 teams competing in its various divisions.
The league is affiliated to the Lancashire FA and is open to all teams in the Burnley area, regardless of ability. Matches are played on Sunday afternoons throughout the season, from September to May.
The Burnley & District Sunday League is one of the most competitive amateur football leagues in the country. In recent years, the league has produced a number of players who have gone on to play professionally, including Burnley FC's Ashley Westwood and Danny Ings.
