Introduction
The Zingari Combinations is an amateur football league based in Liverpool, England. It was founded in 1895 and is currently affiliated to the Liverpool County FA. The league currently has one division, with 39 teams competing in it. The season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other twice, once at home and once away.
History
The Zingari Combinations was founded in 1895 as a feeder league to the I Zingari League, which was a top-flight amateur football league in England. The Combinations was originally intended to provide a place for reserve players from I Zingari League clubs to play. However, the Combinations soon became a successful league in its own right, and many of its clubs went on to achieve great things in the I Zingari League and other competitions.
The Zingari Combinations continued to operate independently until 2006, when it merged with the Liverpool County Combination to form the new Liverpool County Premier League. However, the Combinations name lives on, and the league continues to be a popular and successful competition for amateur footballers in Liverpool.
