Introduction
The York Motorsports Village Minor League is an amateur football league based in North Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 2019 and currently has teams competing in the U16, U18, and U21 age groups.
League Structure
The league is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and the Division One. The Premier Division has 10 teams, while the Division One has 8 teams. Each team plays each other team in their division twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams in the Premier Division at the end of the season are promoted to the next season's Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Division One. The top two teams in the Division One at the end of the season are promoted to the next season's Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the lower leagues.
Recent Season
The 2021-22 season was the third season of the York Motorsports Village Minor League. The Premier Division was won by Aberford Albion, who finished the season with 58 points, 10 points ahead of second-placed Bishopthorpe White Rose. The Division One was won by Hamilton Panthers Blue, who finished the season with 52 points, 6 points ahead of second-placed Kirkbymoorside.
