World Football Association
The World Football Association (WFA) is an amateur football league that was founded in 1971. The WFA is headquartered in London, England, and it has over 100 member clubs in 25 countries.
The WFA's mission is to provide a competitive and enjoyable football experience for amateur players of all abilities. The WFA organizes a variety of tournaments and leagues, including the WFA World Cup, the WFA European Championship, and the WFA Women's World Cup.
History
The WFA was founded in 1971 by a group of amateur footballers who were dissatisfied with the state of amateur football at the time. The WFA's founders believed that there was a need for a new organization that would provide a more competitive and enjoyable football experience for amateur players.
The WFA's first tournament was the WFA World Cup, which was held in 1972. The WFA World Cup has been held every four years since then, and it is now one of the most prestigious amateur football tournaments in the world.
Structure
The WFA is divided into six continental confederations: Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania. Each confederation is responsible for organizing its own tournaments and leagues.
The WFA's highest governing body is the WFA Congress, which is made up of representatives from each confederation. The WFA Congress meets every two years to elect the WFA President and the WFA Executive Committee.
