Worcester Sunday Football League
The Worcester Sunday Football League is an amateur football league based in Worcester, England. It was founded in 1904 and currently has over 100 clubs affiliated to it. The league plays its matches on Sundays, hence the name.
History
The Worcester Sunday Football League was founded in 1904 by a group of local footballers who wanted to play the game on Sundays, when most other leagues were not in operation. The league started with just a few clubs, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 clubs affiliated to it.
The league has played a significant role in the development of football in Worcester. Many players who have gone on to play professional football have started their careers in the Worcester Sunday Football League.
Divisions
The Worcester Sunday Football League is divided into a number of divisions, based on the level of competition. The top division is the Premier Division, followed by the Division One, Division Two, and so on. There are also a number of cup competitions, including the Worcestershire Sunday Senior Cup and the Worcestershire Sunday Junior Cup.
