Woolwich and Eltham Sunday Football Alliance
The Woolwich and Eltham Sunday Football Alliance (WESFA) is an amateur football league based in the London Borough of Greenwich. It was formed in 2005 by the merger of two former local leagues, the Woolwich & District Sunday League and the Eltham & District Sunday League.
The WESFA currently has 9 divisions, with a total of over 100 teams. The top division is the Premier Division, followed by the First Division, Second Division, and so on. There are also a number of cup competitions, including the Plumstead Challenge Cup, which dates back to 1931.
The WESFA is affiliated to the Football Association (FA) and is committed to promoting fair play and respect. It has been awarded the FA's Commended Status award for its work in this area.
