Woolwich & Eltham League
The Woolwich & Eltham Sunday Football Alliance (WESFA) is an amateur football league based in the London Borough of Greenwich. It was founded in 1921 and currently has over 100 clubs affiliated to it.
The league is divided into a number of divisions, with the top division being the Supreme Trophies & Engraving Premier Division. The league also has a number of cup competitions, including the Woolwich & Eltham Sunday Cup and the WESFA Challenge Trophy.
History
The Woolwich & Eltham Sunday Football Alliance was founded in 1921 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league was originally called the Woolwich & Eltham Sunday League, but it was renamed the Woolwich & Eltham Sunday Football Alliance in 2012.
The league has grown steadily over the years and currently has over 100 clubs affiliated to it. The league is divided into a number of divisions, with the top division being the Supreme Trophies & Engraving Premier Division. The league also has a number of cup competitions, including the Woolwich & Eltham Sunday Cup and the WESFA Challenge Trophy.
Current Season
The current season of the Woolwich & Eltham Sunday Football Alliance is the 2022-2023 season. The league is currently in its winter break, but it will resume in September 2023.
The current champions of the Supreme Trophies & Engraving Premier Division are the Crockenhill Sunday FC. The current holders of the Woolwich & Eltham Sunday Cup are the Eltham Palace FC.
