Women's Promotional Soccer League
The Women's Promotional Soccer League (WPSL) is an amateur women's soccer league in the United States. The league was founded in 2008 and currently has 12 teams. The WPSL is a non-profit organization and is dedicated to providing a high-level of competition for women's soccer players of all ages and abilities.
History
The WPSL was founded in 2008 by a group of women's soccer enthusiasts who were looking to create a more competitive and professional environment for women's soccer players. The league's first season consisted of six teams, and it has since grown to include teams from all over the United States.
Rules and Regulations
The WPSL follows the FIFA Laws of the Game, with some modifications to accommodate the amateur status of the players. For example, the WPSL allows for unlimited substitutions.
The WPSL season runs from May to August, with each team playing 14 games. The top four teams in the regular season qualify for the playoffs, which culminate in a championship match.
