Wigan & District Youth League
The Wigan & District Youth League (WDYL) is an amateur football league for young people in the Wigan area. It is affiliated to the Lancashire County FA.
History
The WDYL was founded in 1946. It has grown steadily over the years and now has over 40 clubs and over 200 teams.
The league caters for players of all abilities, from beginners to experienced players. There are teams for boys and girls, from Under-7s to Under-18s.
Structure
The WDYL is divided into a number of divisions, based on age and ability. The top division is the Premier Division, followed by the First Division, Second Division, and so on.
There is also a cup competition, the WDYL Cup, which is open to all teams in the league.
