Introduction
The West Riding County Ladies Premier Football League is an open aged (16 plus) Women's Association Football League in England affiliated to the West Riding FA. It is one of the biggest women's leagues in the country, with over 800 players registered across its 5 divisions.The league was founded in 1993 and has been growing steadily ever since. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the number of women playing football in England, and the West Riding County Ladies Premier Football League has played a major role in this growth.
The league is divided into 5 divisions: Premier Division, First Division, Second Division, Third Division, and Development League. The Premier Division is the highest level, and the Development League is the lowest level.
The league season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other twice. The top teams in each division are promoted to the next level, and the bottom teams are relegated to the next level.
Current Season
The current season of the West Riding County Ladies Premier Football League began in September 2023. The Premier Division is currently led by Farsley Celtic Juniors Firsts, followed by Bradford (Park Avenue) and Leeds Medics & Dentists.The First Division is currently led by Ackworth Girls FC Ladies, followed by Brayton Belles LFC and Golcar United FC Ladies.
The Second Division is currently led by Hall Green United FC Women, followed by Hepworth United FC Ladies and Huddersfield Amateur FC Ladies Firsts.
The Third Division is currently led by Brighouse Sports, followed by Harrogate Railway Firsts and Morley Town.
The Development League is currently led by Silsden, followed by Skipton Town Firsts and Thackley.
