Introduction
The West Riding County FA Development League is an amateur football league for players under the age of 23. It is run by the West Riding County Football Association, which is the governing body of football in northern parts of the West Riding of Yorkshire, England.
The league was founded in 2009 and currently consists of three divisions: the Premier Division, Division One, and Division Two. The top two teams in the Premier Division are promoted to the Northern Counties East Football League, while the bottom two teams in Division Two are relegated to the West Riding County Amateur Football League.
Season 2022/23
The current season, 2022/23, is the 14th season of the West Riding County FA Development League. The Premier Division is currently being led by Liversedge FC U23, followed by Emley AFC U23 and Ilkley Town AFC U23's. In Division One, Tadcaster Albion U21 i2i Albion is in first place, followed by RIASA FC U23 RIASA Bradford and Tadcaster Albion U21 i2i Town.
The league's top scorer this season is Lewis Hall of Liversedge FC U23, with 17 goals. He is followed by Harry Sutcliffe of Emley AFC U23, with 15 goals, and Harry Sutcliffe of Ilkley Town AFC U23's, with 13 goals.
