West Midlands Regional Women's Football League
The West Midlands Regional Women's Football League (WMRWL) is an amateur football league for women in the West Midlands region of England. It is at the fifth and sixth levels of the English women's football pyramid, and feeds into the FA Women's Premier League.
History
The WMRWL was founded in 1998. The inaugural season consisted of 12 teams, and the league has since grown to over 30 teams.
Structure
The WMRWL consists of two divisions: the Premier Division and Division One. The Premier Division has 12 teams, and Division One has 18 teams. The teams play each other twice, home and away.
The top two teams in the Premier Division are promoted to the FA Women's National League Division One Midlands, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division One. The top two teams in Division One are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Birmingham Women's Football League.
Current season
The 2022-23 season is the 25th season of the WMRWL. The current Premier Division champions are Leamington Lions, and the current Division One champions are Bedworth United.
