Vermont South – Sunday Night
The Vermont South – Sunday Night is an amateur football league based in Vermont South, Victoria, Australia. The league was founded in 1972 and currently consists of 10 teams. The season runs from March to September, with each team playing each other once during the regular season. The top two teams at the end of the regular season compete in the Grand Final, which is held in September.
History
The Vermont South – Sunday Night was founded in 1972 by a group of local footballers who wanted to play the game at a more relaxed pace than the traditional Saturday competition. The league quickly grew in popularity and now consists of 10 teams.
The Vermont South – Sunday Night has produced a number of talented footballers over the years, including former Australian internationals Paul Wade and Danny Tiatto.
Venue
The Vermont South – Sunday Night plays its home games at the Vermont South Recreation Reserve. The ground has two pitches, a clubhouse and change rooms.
